i lay in bed in the dark of the night your legs wrapped around me and tight i see you in your head calling for me i see you in the light calm and lonely i want to touch you, but i can't get enough you come to me like a goddess above you put your lips to the wine in the glass and move your hips to the song in the background your hair falls over your grin fingers walking up to my chin i could never leave you i could never leave you i could never leave you now there's nothing better than your love summer night and we walk down the street down the path to the sand of the beach our feet step to the curve of the tide line eyes raised to the glow of the moonlight curious looks... around you a glow that permeates you out from your soul you show me a dance that you learned in the ballet and take me back to your past in a story your hair shines in from the light i pull you into me tight five o'clock on a train to a show six stops before we can go you catch me looking at a girl in the aisle you let go of my hand and you smile darting looks and suspicions arise you search for the truth in my eyes we go back and forth in a quarrel the train stops we arrive at the forum i reach out for your hand but you won't understand in the sheets of the moonlight in the dark of my room in the sail of the sunrise i come back to you in the train we are boarding to the steps of our shoes to the moment of leaving i come back to you

it was a summer night and i was sleeping the moon was out, my head was beaming i looked at my dreams like they were gold amazing feelings draw within me all my conflicts slip beneath me like the spirit of a song or like the feeling of a lover in your arms but ever since that night and after the dreams i had i can't recapture and it brings me down so low the more i search the less i find the more i look the more i'm blind like a melody so young hanging on the tip of the tongue if i wait long enough now will you come to me will you come to me so far away, but right beside me will you come to me will you follow me home when we first met we were so young we played out past the setting sun in a world of make believe wooden forts and magic beans silly thoughts and silly dreams how we said we'd never change but somehow life got in the way but way back then and even now i still love you i don't know how you got magic in your eyes and underneath our conversation in our thoughts our contemplations there's a feeling left unsung hanging on the tip of the tongue

Walk on in 03:19
well i caught her at a glance at the friday club in the circling colored lights streaming from above we were clockwork, but strangers still holding back like fools when there's fifteen open doors walk on in, don't stay away you got no reason to hesitate walk on in, don't stay away there's nothing here between us but a little space well i saw her to the street where she was waiting for a ride in the swirling winter storm falling from the sky we were answers, to questions still holding back like fools when the moment comes alive some wait so long for a miracle to come some wait so long in silly fears but i can't believe well i caught her at the second she was turning away my insides froze everything i had to say overcome, overrun, overlaid with doubts stop thinking, look at the smile on her face
4.
i get out of work twenty minutes early and i take off my shoes down to the beach in an absent minded hurry to an ocean of blue and the birds flying low there's no other place you want to go but here she tries to talk about everything that bugs her and it brings out a sigh ‘cause she knows there's no reason to be bothered under a glorious sky and in the light sea breeze there's no other place she wants to be but here ’cause when the sun beats down your face and the moon stares out from space there's nothing else, nothing to worry he tries to cope but the weight of it’s too heavy and he hides in the shade but she knows and she drags him to get ready before the sun fades away and in the light sea breeze there's no other place they want to be but here
5.
Not Guilty 02:36
don't believe anything they say to you don't believe any words they say are true ‘cause all are lies, some day you’re gonna go and see ’cause all are lies, some day you’re gonna believe all these things going round in you head today it’s no wonder you feel this way all this confusion, bred by a great illusion you see all these people got lots to say with their secret agendas and debts to pay in all of god's truth, i say this to you how many years have we been in love together sunshine and stormy weather and no one knows like you and me can't you see, can't you see we got history and honesty so when strangers sell their lines don't let them change your mind
6.
i've been sulking in uncertainty for days tampering with ideas to get me out of this place and i dwell upon well thought out options that leave me more uncertain than before and each day seems longer than before and i find myself thinking if i could have done more and this world puts me into perspective and leaves me more certain than before and all of these questions recycled suggestions they seem to be leading me astray but one of these days i'm bound to find my way i skim through the sunday times again section d always leads me back where i am and phone calls and interviews later leave me more uncertain than before i sit back again and think a while the answer's quite clear but i fall in denial and my love puts me into perspective and leaves me more certain than before
7.
one night in the darkness at the plaza hotel she confessed the love she could never tell in the moment, a culminated desire a kiss of water in a burning fire and i know i shouldn't, but i can't hold back i know i shouldn't let it take this track attracted to a gorgeous mess one slip of control, brazen and bold now i can't forget what i cannot own every morning, every night its the same holding on giving breath to a tiny flame you can try to cover up you can try to play it off you can choose to lock it up but soon it finds a new way out one week since we spoke you sink what you float, you speak but you choke with a message dry and cold say you’re sorry, say it never can be say it’s best just left as a memory she can make you hurt, she can make you sting she can make you love, she can make you sing then i see you, you come back changing up your tune like it wasn't ever anything like it wasn't ever true then i see you, you’re crying you’re so hard to understand you keep leading me ‘round in circles and changing all your plans
8.
wait, before you go and pass me by stay a little longer i haven't met you yet tonight well your light blond hair reminds me how much i feel alive your light blond hair reminds me what i dreamt the other night yes, what i would do yes, what i would do if i only had a chance with you so busy and so relaxed a radiating smile, a delicate laugh well i can see you in the corner of my view looking over at you, flirting with your eyes well i can see you in the corner of my view looking over at you, waiting for the right time

April 21 03:00
i met you down at mcgiblin’s pub the only girl i could really love i saw you the second you walked in the door something about you i've never seen before something about the way your hair falls in your face and the walk of your confidence follows your grace i want to be with you yeah, i want to be with you I talked to you by the fire pit lights i asked your name, you asked my sign we talk about work we talk about life but all i can see is your eyes tonight something about the way your body moves to the band i want to get a little closer girl, i hope you understand i met you down at mcgiblins pub the only girl i could really love we dance to the irish mandolins i buy you a cosmopolitan something about the way your body moves to the band i want to get a little closer girl, i hope you understand
10.
go on and get yourself a beer open up your windows, let the sun come near ‘cause everything's not as bad as you might think ’cause everything's not as bad don't let it turn you around go on and stay another round drop your excuses, turn your thoughts around ‘cause everything's not as bad as you might think ’cause everything's not as bad don't let it turn you around you know you gotta let go ‘cause life ain't so serious look around and listen to everything you’re missing ‘cause i don't believe what we came here for is to stand and worry of what our future holds i don't believe it’s what we came here for we live to be happy go on relax a little more it’s not worth fighting, its not worth the war ‘cause everything's not as bad as you might think ’cause everything's not as bad don't let it turn you i know you might be thinking how much you got to do i know you might be thinking of all the things you've got to prove

Going Home 03:29
flying over buildings, a rise in altitude a flight attendant smile, a can of apple juice a cloud reflecting sunshine on a busy afternoon a resonant emotion, a memory of you going home falling over sleeping, let it take me now a distant spark of laughter, resonating sounds a crystal dream caressing and leading me away lost in all direction, hurtling through space going home and it feels like a warm light falling over me going home
12.
well you stay up all night pills and coffee you keep pushing yourself just to get ahead and you knock so loud, but nothing will answer just a waste of time, but you won't admit you’re just trying too hard like a verse that’s lost and no words to find it like a teenage kid that just can't fit in and the struggle’s long, your patience gone just a slap in the face when the day is done you’re just trying too hard
13.
Grateful 03:37
another morning, another gorgeous day the sun is rising, it burns the fog away and opens up the sky and the air smells so good through the garden and the maple trees oh lord i am so grateful oh lord i am so grateful to be alive another evening, another kiss goodnight your eyes are smiling we hold each other tight under a universe of lights and i feel all my love in everything i give to you and it feels so good inside to see the setting sun across the ocean waves another day to ride the open fields and come home to my love another day
14.
Carry On 03:55
carry on girl don't let it fly up in your face don't let your instincts get replaced there's more work to be done carry on girl don't let their thoughts get in your way don't let them tell you what to say you've got an immaculate mind try to get some rest, let yourself relax you've got a long day before you now carry on girl don't let them weigh you to the ground don't let yourself get turned around some things are better off unsaid and if you keep holding on, just let go and if the panic swells, just let go all directions you possess are your own all directions you possess are your own they are your own
